Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the Dallas Team Behind Flint Chimney Co Dallas
Most chimney companies in Dallas send whoever’s available. We don’t work that way. Our crew is small on purpose, built around people who’ve spent years on North Texas rooftops and inside flues built in everything from 1920s Craftsman bungalows in Winnetka Heights to 2010s tract homes in Frisco. Every tech who shows up at your door is background-checked, uniformed, and trained to the same standard Hank Delano set when he joined the Garrison Partners family back in 2002. You’ll know their name before they arrive, and you’ll see the same face if you ever need a follow-up visit under the 365-Day Done Right Promise.
Our People
Ray T. – Lead Technician
Ray has been with Flint Chimney Co Dallas for 11 years, longer than anyone else on the crew. He came up through the Garrison Partners training program and holds current CSIA certification as a chimney sweep. His specialty is Level 2 camera inspections, the kind that get inside flue walls and find cracks, gaps, and missing mortar joints that a visual check from the firebox simply can’t see. When Ray finds something that needs a second opinion, he’s the one who calls it in rather than guessing. Off the clock, he restores a 1968 Ford Ranchero in his garage in Garland, and no, it still doesn’t run.
Maria S. – Senior Repair Installer
Maria has spent 9 years installing and repairing chimney systems, with a focus on flue relining, the practice of replacing the inner liner that channels smoke safely out of the house. She’s certified on DuraFlex stainless steel liner systems and HeatShield joint repair, and she’s the crew lead whenever a job calls for pulling a damaged clay tile liner and replacing it properly. Maria’s the person you want on an older Dallas home where the original masonry has settled and shifted, because she’ll take the time to explain what she’s seeing and what can safely wait. She grew up in Oak Cliff and can tell you which taquerias near Bishop Arts are actually worth the line.
Delonte W. – Service Coordinator
Delonte is probably the first voice you’ll hear when you call (361) 492-4099. He’s been with the company for 6 years and runs both scheduling and the pre-job paperwork, which means he’s the one who makes sure your written price is prepared and approved before any technician sets foot on your property. Delonte is the reason we can say a live person answers the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without hedging. He’s also the guy who calls you the afternoon before your appointment to confirm the window, then texts you the tech’s name and arrival time the morning of. He bowls in a league in Carrollton on Tuesdays and claims a 184 average. The crew says it’s closer to 170.
Aaron P. – Apprentice Technician
Aaron joined the Dallas crew two years ago through the Garrison Partners apprenticeship path, working alongside Ray on sweeps and inspections before earning his spot on repair jobs. He’s the one running the brush up and down the flue, setting up the dust containment system so your living room doesn’t smell like a campfire for a week, and learning liners and masonry from Maria. Aaron grew up in Mesquite, went to Eastfield College, and spent three years doing residential roofing before deciding he’d rather work on the inside of a house than the top of one in August. He’s detail-obsessed to a fault, which is exactly what you want from the person hauling equipment up your ladder.
Styles & brands we work with

One Standard, Every Job
Every Dallas technician, from Ray on his 11th year to Aaron on his second, follows the same rules. The written price comes before any work starts, always, on every job, no exceptions, so the number on the invoice is the number you approved. Every repair carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: a written guarantee good for one full year from the service date, with a free return visit if a covered repair fails within that period. No charge, no argument, no “That’s just how chimneys are.” Material specs come from professional-grade brands, DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield, chosen by what the job actually needs, not by what’s easiest to stock. Hank Delano has said it in every new-hire meeting: we don’t hire salespeople. We hire technicians who know how to fix a chimney, explain what they saw, and walk away knowing the family inside can light a fire without worrying about what’s happening inside the walls.
Meet Your Chimney Team in Dallas
The best way to know a company is to know the people who show up. Call (361) 492-4099 and you’ll get Delonte on the line, a real person scheduling a real appointment. When Ray, Maria, or Aaron knocks on your door, you’ll already know their name and what to expect. And if we recommend a repair, you’ll see the camera footage yourself before you approve a dollar. That’s how the Dallas crew has done it since day one, and that’s how we’ll do it on your chimney.
